Marking the first change in MoonDogs ownership since 2001, Mark Ogren, President of Croix Oil Company, has wasted no time in growing the organization, starting with the front office.
2009 Northwoods League Executive of the Year and General Manager of the MoonDogs for the last ten years, Kyle Mrozek, will enter his 11th season with a new title, Vice President. Mrozek will head the initiative of improving Franklin Rogers Park and will take charge in growing the MoonDogs business plan.
Greg Weis, the Assistant General Manager for the last two years, will continue his third year succeeding Mrozek as the General Manager. Weis will handle more of the day to day business and oversee the sales staff and operations at the ball park.
With the front office staying intact, the MoonDogs have also added two positions. Ogren’s son, Scott Ogren, will enter his first year as a Director of the MoonDogs. On his way to earning an MBA from The Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota, Scott will learn the MoonDogs business.
Kaylee Kulich, previous MoonDogs Media Relations Intern, will return for her second year as the Coordinator of Marketing and Media Relations. Kulich will front the MoonDogs social media presence, marketing strategies and web content.
Ogren finalized the purchase of the MoonDogs from previous owner, Joe Schwei, in late December 2012. His intentions are to keep the fundamentals of the MoonDogs organization the same, to build on those and to create a new level of MoonDogs baseball.
Under new dynamics, the team will remain in Mankato and will continue to have the same mission: provide wholesome, family friendly entertainment to the Greater Mankato Area at affordable prices.
